Steve, As a relative novice here,
and in the markets in general, it's often refreshing to read the reasonable and mature posts of a long term investor with patience. I wonder how many have actually taken the time to even read the header you've put together here for this thread...
As investors we study and assess prospective companies, their balance sheets, competitors, business models and partners. We weigh the risks and rewards, make a plan and choose an entry and an exit. If we are really savvy we hedge our positions...then we wait...and wait....and wait some more.
We keep a very close eye on the eggs in our basket but ultimately must trust the logic, assessments, and reassessments we have made that placed us in our respective positions.
Let's hope the market will continue to reward companies like MSGI, CMGI,DCLK and other cutting edge enterprises like they have in the past. By filtering out all the extraneous noise and focusing on the logic that placed us in our positions, the waiting ain't so hard at all.
