i'm viewed as being anti-dell, you as a extremist...reality is that if you can't convince the world, in the case of dell, of your true ability and greatness, then the markets will value you to the low side....do a comparison chart of all pc makers since dell february perceived to miss the number selloff....other then cpq, who has its own management problems, the obvious difference between dell and others is pe valuation...no matter how much drum beating is done and aspersions cast on this thread...reality is dell stock is underperforming...struggling to get back to pre sell off levels...it will move back, but many, many buying opportunities along the way. futures market(options/leaps)indicate dell dull until mid 2000...look at jan55 premium and jan2001 80 premium...tells one a bit.....regardless of earnings and growth, we own the stock...not the company....
