Sorry - it dawned on me earlier today that I should've said that the "grrrl"'s CD was released only a few years ago -- especially since you'd be expecting the '80s. Back then not many women were in that category.

As far as the two Huang Chung guys contributing to another band's record is concerned, a hint: it was Jack Hues and Hogg. I think this question may actually be impossible to answer unless someone happens to have the other band's out-of-print LP (which was stunningly good but a well-shrouded secret).
