PB, I tend to agree. IT Managers, please feel free to order up on 8-way Profusion based servers, now. Compaq and the other server vendors could also come up with some attractive upgrade paths. Buy the 8-way Xeon-based today and get priority on a trade for a Merced based next year. It might be a little too far off for creative, but detailed, upgrade paths still though, with Merced being largely unknown re performance, exact schedule. Might see some such upgrade deals come to light when Merced gets closer. Tony
