The longest sentence in English literature was spoken by Molly Bloom, a character in Ulysses by James Joyce. This sentence is so long that in the original publication of the work, it extended for over forty pages, finally concluding with an affirmative "yes!" Incidentally, this edition, which was published by Sylvia Beach of Shakespeare & Company fame, is believed to contain over five thousand typographical errors.
