Steve, I don't believe that the sale of snapple will be anything but good for "Cable Car Beverage". If you look at some of last weeks postings, you will see that I stated that "Quaker Oats" was planning the "Snapple" dump at the same time they worked out the distribution agreement for "Stewarts". Because of that, I think that "Quaker" intends to concentrate on the "Stewarts" immediately.
News release of Mar 05, 1997 (Mr Natural distribution agreement)
Also stated..."In a related developement, the company has also finalized an agreement with "Snapple" distributers of Long Island to distribute "Stewarts" in Long Island".
ARE THE "SNAPPLE DISTRIBUTERS OF LONG ISLAND LINKED TO "MR NATURAL" ?
IF NOT...ARE THEY NOW LINKED TO THE NEW OWNERS OF "SNAPPLE" ? AND WILL THEY STILL DISTRIBUTE THE "STEWARTS" ?
One other thing I haven't (as of now) been able to find out is:
Was any part of the "Snapple" sale linked to "quaker" still distributing "Snapple" throughout its subsidiaries ? I HOPE NOT.
Cable Care Beverage is a great company with a very good future growth outlook. ---My opinion--
M.
