(CKS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Timothy Marlow as Manager of Mining Operations for the company's KBU property in Indonesia. Mr. Marlow has over thirty years of International experience in the metalliferous mining industry, including senior
managerial positions in both engineering and operating divisions for Tri-Star Gold Corporation, International Tournigan Ltd., Ashanti Goldfields and Cominco Ltd. Mr. Marlow is a graduate of the Camborne School of Mines, UK and a registered Chartered Engineer.

Thomas Tough Resigns From Board
William J. Van der Merwe, Vice President of Consolidated Silver Tusk Mines, Ltd. (CKS) announces that the Company has accepted the resignation of Mr. Thomas Tough as a member of the Board of Directors and as an Officer of the Company effective August 18th, 1999.
CKS also announces that the Board of Directors has terminated the services of Werbes Sasges & Company as General Counsel effective August 18th, 1999.
The company announces further that it has severed any relationship with the following entities:
