Bill Giudice, Co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer

Bill has more than 20 years of experience in the communications and
semiconductor industries. Prior to co-founding Maker Communications in
1994, he spent nine years at LSI Logic where he held a number of senior
level positions in sales and marketing. Bill has also served in the sales and
marketing organizations of the world's leading technology and
communications companies including Hewlett Packard, AT&T and Verbex
(Exxon Communications Systems). He holds a BSEE from Worcester
Polytechnic Institute.

Paul Bergantino, Co-founder, Chief Technology Architect

Paul has five patents pending and created the world's first reprogrammable
622 Mb/s SAR layer device for ATM networking. Prior to founding Maker
in 1994, Paul held several design and engineering positions at LSI Logic
including product manager for the ATM products division. He also spent
two years with Data General where he focused on CPU development for the
systems division. Paul holds a BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Walt Jones, Vice President, Engineering

Walt has over 20 years experience in the communications and computer
systems industry. Prior to joining Maker, he was VP of R&D at Videoserver
Corporation where he led the development of network bridges for video and
audio conferencing. Previously, he was at Stratus Computer where he led
the development of fault tolerant clusters. Walt was also VP of Engineering
at Coral Networks, a startup company that was eventually bought by Bay
Networks, where he managed the development of multi-protocol routers. In
addition, he held several management positions at Prime Computer. Walt
holds a BSEE from University of Massachusetts, Lowell and an MSEE from
Northeastern University.

Tom Medrek, Vice President, Marketing

Tom has 13 years of marketing experience in the networking business at
end-user equipment manufacturers as well as semiconductor companies.
Prior to joining Maker Communications, he held a number of senior level
marketing and product planning positions for 3Com Corporation and
Synernetics, Inc., a LAN switching startup company that 3Com acquired in
1994. As the marketing director for 3Com's Switching division, he grew
revenue tenfold to $260 million. Tom also headed a consortium to promote
interoperability and market development among FDDI equipment vendors
when he was the lead marketing manager for Advanced Micro Devices'
FDDI program. Tom holds a BSEE with Distinction from Worcester
Polytechnic Institute and a MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth
College where he was an Amos Tuck Scholar.

Jon Sherburne, Vice President, Sales

Jon has 20 years experience in domestic and international sales/marketing,
strategic planning and general operations management. Prior to joining
Maker Communications, Jon held several senior management positions at
VLSI Technology, Inc. In his most recent position as Vice President of
Western U.S. Sales and Technology s, he managed a team of 70 ASIC/ASSP
sales and design engineers in a $170 million territory. At VLSI, Jon also
served as Vice President of North American Computer and Government
Sales and Technology Centers, Director of Apple Worldwide Sales, and
Regional Sales Manager. He has also held management positions at
Advanced Micro Devices and Texas Instruments, Inc. Jon holds an MS in
Scientific Instrumentation from the University of California and a BS in
Physics from the University of Santa Clara.

Mike Rubino, Vice President Finance and Operations, Chief Financial
Officer

Mike has almost 20 years of business experience and has been a member of
the management team at several high technology companies. He joins
Maker from Agile Networks Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Lucent
Technologies, Inc.) where he was Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer. Mike also served as Vice President, Finance and Administration at
Process Software Corporation, Vice President of Finance at BICC
Communications Inc., and Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Cost
Accounting at Syntrex, Inc. He holds a BS degree in Business
Administration from the University of South Carolina and is a Certified
Public Accountant.

Maker Communications was formed in October 1994 to develop and market
communications processing technology - semiconductor Integrated Circuits
(ICs) and software. Maker focuses on High-Intensity (high bandwidth or
compute-intensive) applications which require leading-edge communications
processing technology.
Our customers are data communications and
telecommunications equipment vendors who keep pace with changing market
requirements, reduce their time-to-market and lower their system costs using
Maker's products.
