the amazing thing is visiting a childproof
house when you don't have children.

When my sister's kids were small, she had those
interior latches for cabinets and all manner of
other protective devices.

Unfortunately, some of those things, much like
the caps on medicine bottles, are mph-proof as
well as childproof.<g>

Here's something I never considered-
you know those little round rubber caps that are on
those springy things used to keep a door from opening
against a wall? One of my nephews crawled around the
entire house finding each one and stuck each one in
his mouth (all at the same time). Then he sat there
and cried because they wouldn't come out. Luckily, he
didn't swallow one.
