I have no facts whatsoever on that point, but my better sense suggests that the distributors wanted to see if there was a market for JCVD. If that was indeed the reason, then logic suggests that future movies should receive full distribution. I guess we will see when the next movie hits the street. BTW, if we pulled 4.7M on 1600 screens, then on 2600 screens we should have pulled 7.6M. Where would that have put us in the rankings this past weekend? I still think that the bar scene cost us by making it an R rating. As a PG or a PG-13, we would have had much larger attendance from the teen bunch!
