GW, That's what I had figured in talking with folks at EXDS. The cool thing about calling EXDS IR is that they will connect you to engineers. That could be good and bad. It is bad because at times they can talk right over your head, or get snotty when you ask really benign questions, as non-techies are wont to do. But you also do not get the run-of-the-mill spins that pres and IR folks tend to give. The scary thing about every conversation I have ever had with EXDS tech folks is that they can explain exactly why they dominate their niche, exactly where their company is going, and exactly why they are staying ahead of their competition, in terms of technical and business objectives. They must have one heck of a communication pipeline from senior management to employees, even for a smaller sized company. My guess for competition for them was always IBM, Sun, or HP, with acquisitions, or a fiber company combo, such as MFNX/ABOV. I really thought IBM would bite last month and buy these guys out. The longer they wait, the more they will pay. Later. G
