Great info, but it won't make a difference in whats happening to Qwest share price in the short term. I don't know if its arbits doing their thing with the spread between USW and Qwest, or general telecom apathy, or most likely people want to see if Qwest executes, but for the next 6 months I have written of Qwest as a non-performer in my portfolio. Now, that does not mean I am not accumulating. I just don't see it going up any time soon. Its a great buying opp.

But this article shows that Qwest is indeed setting itself up for being a player in the next decade. And in the next decade the money is going to be made in data transfer, not the desktop. Except for MSFT, which will continue to dominate primarily because they can buy whatever they want,( including Qwest and WCOM combined without missing it. Remember, MSFT has more cash than the net worth of many NYSE listed companies.)

Later in the year, ie December or sometime in the first part of 2000, we should have a rocket. JMO
