Congratulations, Richard! Hope Biotransplant and Mass General Hospital TBRC get at least some of the excitement and attention accorded Entremed for their "cure" of cancer in mice. Remarkable results! BTRN's and Mass General's procedure was able to prevent not only rejection of the transplanted kidney but graft vs host disease in this woman with multiple myeloma and kidney failure. It is almost a year since the "procedure, her kidneys are working, the myeloma is "nearly undetectable" and she is not taking immunosuppressive drugs. Just curious, in the 10 of 17 patients presented a few months ago and mentioned in the Forbes article, were the donors related to the recipients?
