Letmebe Frank:

I don't think Y2K related software sales and implementation slow down is a bust. I can't believe I'm the only systems integrator seeing it. In fact, I've been checking around (not just in the DM business) - software and hardware sales are weak in some areas.

Big DM implementations are time consuming.

I'm thinkin' we will have a killer CY2000 Q1/Q2.

Q3/Q4 I expect more remedial work, existing deployments to carry on, some Y2K panic calls, and lots of pilots and evaluations.

Wouldn't mind being wrong here. Re compeitition, I think FILE and DCTM will be hit somewhat harder with Y2K sillyness. OTEX a dark horse, but by the looks of their chart I think there is something negative going on there beyond the known. I'm betting the growth there is really on the slow down. Will adjust outlook if things change.
