Dell Unfazed By Pricing Pressures

The cost of PCs has continued to decline over the years, but Dell Computer isn?t worried that this trend will harm its rapid-fire growth. The average Dell computer still costs around $2,200, and the company?s CEO, Michael Dell, told CNBC Tuesday he wasn?t concerned about the pricing issue.
"It has been said that we are the pricing pressure. Dell is the company that is essentially the one with the most advantaged cost position and we are driving a lot of the pricing pressure seen in the market."

The nation?s second-largest PC maker is holding its "Direct Connect" conference for some 1,500 customers in Round Rock, Texas this week.
