Steve, that abc.com report on the new MOT phones tends to confirm a couple of details from the February 1999 Grant Evans quote -- that PINs won't be needed, and that the timeline for wireless phones with biometrics, in pilot, would be in the second half of 2000.

Nope, that wasn't the picture. The one I remember had a computer screen near a mini-camera on a stalk looking at the viewer.
