Linux and Netware Linux is basically open source UNIX. It competes with NT as an applications workstation. It is also used as a server in an internet environment where it competes with NT on Intel boxes. Finally it is used as a LAN server where it competes with Novell and NT but probably more with the various flavors of UNIX that are out there on Intel boxes. The spread of Linux on the workstation level is positive for Novell. In the other areas neutral.
