xstuckey and Thread: Interesting email that Mark Edelstone is sending today. Basically, it appears to me that he is setting the table for a downgrade of Intel some time in the next 3 or 4 months.

All the code words are used--he states that he has been neutral before on Intel and he'll be neutral again, he states that he thinks that the 4Q may be the peak of this cycle, he states that Intel is very expensive here and if a client wanted to sell Intel here, he'd have no problem with that decision. People shouldn't assume that he'll just continue to raise his target price, currently at $80.

This isn't meant to have a reflection on what Intel's performance might be--on the contrary, Edelstone lowered his opinion from 'buy' to 'outperform' when the stock was 58 only 2 months or so ago. Edelstone does still have some influence, however, and I thought that this might be pertinent.
