Funny you should mention Bre-X. So did I. I bought a couple of grand worth at my financial planner's suggestion. It's the last time I listened to him on a stock. Fortunately, I bailed out of this turkey at 47, so it takes a bit of pain out of the Bre-X fiasco since I bought at 27. Nonetheless, I learned a damn good lesson about being wary of discussion threads where everyone is a cheerleader for the stock and people who raise reservations are pummeled and demonized.
