Dan regarding my question about easier way to do pms....I do not see any way to use my
browser AOL (I think thats what you mean) to open the private message link...also I have
one button on my mouse so no chance on hitting a middle button...I keep finding reasons
to get rid of AOL...I wonder if I can do this on AOL version of netscape...where does the
private message link window show up in your unix netscape?..perhaps same on mine or
any ideas about where to find this on aol browser

Excuse me if I'm a bit out of it today.

If I remember what I was talking about, the name of the poster is a link to a personal-profile page, and that page has a "Send a Private Message" link at the top.

Traverse the poster-name link using your browser's "Open In New Window" command (typically (i.e., on Windows, with either Netscape or MSIE) right-click on the link to get a pop-up menu, and then select the menu command named something like "Open link in a new window").

That will open a new window displaying the profile of the user. Then click normally on the "Send a Private Message" link in the upper right.

(Note, I'm looking at the old-style SI, so links might be different for you if you're using the new SI.)
