Yes, I have, as well as other multivariant indicators. the problem with using moving averages is that the capture the larger moves only with shorter periods, and that is then influenced by volatility. If you want to pursue moving averages, then try using the kaufmann adaptive MA instead of simple, linear or exponential, as that will give you better results in general. Once you have played with that, start using the slope on indicators that are less reactive to volatility, such as stochastics or neural predicitons.
