Streaming means you get to see all the quotes as they happen rather than having to wait until the end of the minute + the bid and asks + the bid/ask sizes. Not that advantageous unless you're a daytrader.

If you get real time on IQ charts, you get minute updates on both the tracker and the chart if you have the chart time set at 1 minute.

I haven't really started trading with Datek yet. So I don't know how they'll do. Their servers have been sluggish even on my ADSL line at home. I'm gonna be a buy and holder for the foreseeable future anyway. The rewards from trading just haven't been worth all the hard work and stress. But Datek is the cheapest if you do limits and stops. Even with the new high volume E-trade commissions, E-Trades stop/limit orders are the same as Datek.
