ALL,

There is one sentence in MBI's Annual Report that I find very interesting,

...For example, we have demonstrated that a single injection of one of our Bactolysins can cure mice of an otherwise lethal S. Aureus infection."...

What infection in humans is caused by S. Aureus? I ask because I am medically-handicapped when it comes to talking about bacteria. LOL.

Could this be a reference to the "secret" drug MBI has been developing? MBI can always look back and point out this tidbit was in the Annual Report.

In the Report MBI gives a timeframe which is hard to interpret but it is there if you read it carefully.

Phase II - 226, by the end of 1999.
Phase I - acne drug by the first quarter of 2000
Phase I - unspecified drug by the first half of 2000

THAT'S IT!! There is no reference or timeframe I saw for the eye drug. They do say they want to have a fourth drug in Phase I by the middle of 2000. Maybe that's in reference to their eye drug.

I do think MBI is well-focused in its drive to succeed. At first I thought their putting together the SAB and then the CAB was a bit too much. Now it looks as though these guys have asked for and received a lot of advice. It is up to MBI to capitalize on it.

I don't think MR. CLEAN(ER) is on the drawing board for MBI right now, but if you think about it, they do have a line that has got no press in the last couple of years called Protectins! They were for preserving foods and for use in cosmetics.

Their ideas might look a bit odd but each potential product we hear about is solidly based on one of their chosen platforms.
