Writing as one who dabbles in the area of geology on the periphery (and to my expense, as it may be), perhaps I've missed some things about the Sudbury basin. Whatever happened to the theory of the meteor crash that shaped the local geology? Is this scenario still alive or perhaps it's my ignorance of the level of discussion on this forum that within the posts such is implied? I've seen a geologic map of the area and there's definitely a Blott on the Landscape, so to speak. If you have the patience, bring me up to speed. Growing high value food on the surface seems to have purchase although mined metals make this all possible.
