It seems to me that the optimism that pervades the marketplace is a sure sign of a top. I have not the slightest idea what might be the cause of a correction at this point, but given the absurd valuations of most large cap stocks, just about any kind of bad news could spook the herd into selling. The more positive comments I hear about the market, the more of my holdings get sold. I am currently about 65% in cash.
I still believe that this sector (vision correction) is the place to be for the long-term. However, you will notice that as the overall market has surged upwards, the laser stocks have gone nowhere. I believe that once the high-flying unprofitable companies (internet)nosedive, interest will return to this sector. I am waiting patiently on the sidelines to see what happens next.
