What I was thinking was just that VIA, SIS, and ALI are getting higher prices at greater volume for their chipsets that compete with BX/ZX. And that cash flow puts them in a better position to continue to develop competing technology.

But now that you point it out... I guess you're right, without BX/ZX to keep the production lines busy, they might as well crank out some Athlon boards. Do you think that is why Asus reversed itself and announced that they'll be shipping volume by mid September?
