Don't know what this will mean. The WAP Forum uses a standard called HDML (Handheld Device Markup Language), and WML (Wireless Markup Language). It sounds like XHTML is like HDML. It's worth knowing. Let me know what you learn.

Since it is easier and probably quicker for web sites to have predesigned content for handheld devices, The World Wide Web Consortium are probably looking too adopt a standard outside of WAP. I doubt it would vary significantly from a WAP version and would probably be quickly adopted by WAP as they would surely not want to go it alone. If there was a conflict, it would be very important to know why. More likely, WAP is working closely to write this new standard.
