One thing that still has me puzzled with this stock is the continuing large short interest. Even with the recent beaten down prices short interest declined only 2.2% from last month. Total shares = 7,380,000 SI 3/14/97 = 1,374,217 (19% of total shares are shorted) SI 2/14/97 = 1,404,883 The close price on 3/14 was 29. Why the continued large short interest? I would have thought a few more people would be covering at these bargain prices.
