Are you trying to compare this one with LU takeover of Ascend?? Please... 6.9 billion is a hefty price tag but Chambers was not talking about price when he said large acquisitions don't work. He was refering to integrating/aligning the acquired co. Cerent has only 200 some employees and a product line that does not overlap with CSCO. I fail to see any parallels. Maybe you could be more specific. Claude (rhymes with TOAD)
