BTW, I think Avalon has made some good short calls in the past, so their views shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. (Although I think they are wrong on CLTR, and probably on LIPO as well - if nothing else LIPO is still quite munchable).

Avalon picked NVAX as a good short in 1998 in Forbes, and did very well. Their short pick in Forbes this year, MTRS, has its stock up around 50%, putting Avalon at the bottom of the pack.
