thank you everyone,
today is the watershed moment for rambus. intc ceo's validation of coppermine this morning should remove any doubt of intel's intentions re rmbs. since intel makes some 80% of the world's chipsets, they get to call the shots.
ddrdram may or may not ever come to market. no one has seen it. no one has ever demo'ed it in a working computer. sony says it is unstable.
we now know that in the next few weeks we will see rambus in dell and cpq workstations and pc's. that will be followed in october with coppermine. i believe at that point we will see rambus in an entire line of pc's including numerous laptops and acer's affordable pc line.
the war is over folks rmbs won!!! all that is left is the clean-up and mop-up. that will happen over the next 18 months. in the meantime we will learn about rmbs' new unannounced telecom businesses.
i would like to thank everyone on the yahoo, silicon investor and the motley fool threads as well as several personal friends who have helped me with research.
to those who are long...congratulations!
to those who are short...it is not too late to change!
if you are playing for a point here or there, rmbs will provide some opportunities.
i would also again like to thank the rambus staff for a great job. i wish you Godspeed in your new endeavors.
