You can't divide it up as core is optical and routing is edge. Its just more complex than that. Cisco bought Cerent to compete against Lucent and Nortel, not Juniper. This signals nothing about routing. The best signal about the future of routing is what the biggest ISP in the world is doing, UUnet. UUnet is buying M40's - I think that pretty much answers any dirt you want to try to bring up on JNPR. The valuation, its high but that is a seperate argument.
