I just read the Jesse article, and he does seem to have a point, a very good point that I have brought up many times in the MSFT thread. The problem is, there is a big hole in the MSFT business model once it relates to the Internet. Suppose somebody gave away the office suite for free AND made it totally web based. Supposed you could store your files on a server and use any machine to retrieve them, modify them or access the apps that made them. I think that is compelling enough to at least get a few million people to try a new office solution, especially since the barrier to access for consumers is close to nill (zero cost, quick access through the browser, very little proprietary format lock-in from Microsoft due to HTML adherence, and practically no hardware or software compatibility issues).

I suggest you try the following link. It is the beta for a free, web based, server-centric office suite that I am working on:
nuomedia.com . The beta access link is in the upper left-hand corner. I will expound upon all of its advantages in an interview with CNN next week in New York.
