edit.... Fred, I meant this message for QDOG.... as a response to Message 11078592 ... sorry. Sprint does say "fixed wireless access product", not mobile, so not a major threat to the Q at this time. "Fixed", IMO, means a user may move to a coverage area carrying a mobile product (e.g. an MMDS PDA), turn it on, check in (pod dock) and conduct a session. Since many cellular/PCS calls are conducted while the user is relatively stationary, e.g. sitting in a room, the MMDS 2.4mz bandwidth could capture some of this market with the restriction one cannot be significantly moving (at least initially). Do you think MMDS could become a full blown mobile system if the base stations are mounted densely as small cells? John
