I owned a very successful direct mail advertising agency for 20 years ... I don't think there's too much you can tell me regarding collection of information and usage of that information.

ENGA has a number of competitors: 24/7 Media, Naviant, HotData, Adforce, AOL, to name a few.

Everyone involved in Internet Advertising KNOWS there's a major problem in delivering targeted advertising ... and they're throwing a lot of money at accomplishing that end.

The rewards are huge as the clickthrough on contextually relevant ads are many multiples of non-targeted, non-relevant ads.

The question is how to get there without infringing on the Rights of Privacy of consumers yet still accomplishing the objective.

That's why you're now seeing FREE ISP services and FREE PC's, etc. ... marketers are learning you must incentivize the consumers to get their permission to collect and use personal information to deliver targeted and relevant ads.

IMO ... they're still all way behind the gun in their technology not to mention the threat of govt. intervention.
