you all have been sandbagged by a DENTIST re: ascorbic acid crystals.
to contribute to the discussion of his question more fully, i did query some of my health food buddies about the value of crystals versus the tablets form of Vit C.

i was informed by those who like to take huge Vit C amounts, (they were tossing numbers around north of 50,000 units, etc., like Dr. Pauling (sp?) had recommended that there is less likely to be an adverse reaction/contraindication physically to an overdose of "C" if it is taken in crystal form as opposed to tablets.

i gathered this information about crystals vs tablets tolerance of high doses is standard dosage recommendations from D.C.s

just a piece of info i'm passing along. ascorbic crystals is one thing i'm not real stocked up on, and i think i'll go add Vit C to the "gotta yet get"--stash list.
