Sorry but I still don't get it.

I mean surely a gateway is an earth station dedicated to the G* system yes?

If so then surely all GWs can see sats because thats what they have been sited to do.

OK then if i'm on a yatch/boat and I look up and can "see" a sat then that should be it since for sure the Sat can see a GW?

In other words if I am naywhere on the planet and can "see' a sat then I can get service assumong the geographical area is covered by a license agreement and since there are no operators other than Inmarsat over the sea then anywhere on the Sea where I can "see" a sat I should be able to get service?

Or have I still no got it?
