Crys-Tel Telecommunications.com, Inc. Solidifies Position in the Balkans with Pegasus Telekom Joint Venture
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1999--Crys-Tel Telecom.(OTC Bulletin Board:CYSS) Crys-Tel Telecommunications.com, Inc. (OTC BB:CYSS - News) new management team, under the leadership of CEO Dr. Lorenzo Musa announces that two very important targets have been achieved by the company in the recently troubled area of the Balkans in the spirit of telecommunications development for all of the countries involved.
Based on agreements with the government of Albania the company is in position to offer the assistance of a full service information and communications center in Tirana. The facilities will require Crys-Tel to install and operate Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) gateways, fax port hubs and other telephony products and internet services to handle inbound/outbound international voice, data and video communications from surrounding region.
This will be facilitated by dedicated leased lines directed to AboveNet's Global One-Hop Network. AboveNet Communications, Inc. is a leading provider of Internet connectivity and co-location solutions for high bandwidth and business-critical applications. Crys-Tel will also be installing the billing and network switching software necessary for operation, with the control center remaining in San Diego.
The use of Crys-Tel's VOIP gateway solution will greatly reduce customer long distance calling costs to and from Albania and the region of the Balkans. The company estimates the cost of calls entering and exiting this region to be reduced by more than 1/4 of existing rates.
Crys-Tel will commence operations in the beginning of September 1999 with rights to a 1300 sq. meter facility in Tirana.
Furthermore, in order to facilitate the development of the distraught area of Kosovo and supply to the refugees all the necessary facilities in communications the company has reached an expansive agreement with Pegasus Telekom AG of Austria. In association with this arrangement Crys-Tel will be in position to offer a complete array of telecommunications services in the K-4 area, including GSM, Satellite, Wireless payphones and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP).
