Dennis:

The only thing I know about Lake Schaefer is what I see on their TV ads about Indiana Beach. Never been there, but it seems to be quite popular.

I haven't been to the 100 Bagger thread yet. See my last reply in the SJD thread on mining thread on here for the reason.

I have kept about 5% of my IRA money in a gold mutual fund for years. Some years I don't put anything in and other years, when the price is down, I may put half of my yearly contribution in it.

The fund that I started out in was United Services-Gold Shares. It invests a lot in S. Africa and has a low share price. About $2.25 at last check. They have another gold fund that has done a lot better lately and especially this year. It is World Gold fund and invests in N. American stocks as well as Australian and some others but not much or any in S. Africa. They recently added Art Bonnell's growth fund to their family and I wish I had a lot more of my money in it. It has done super already this year. You can visit their site at www.usfunds.com and get info on all their funds. I feel stocks are the only way to go on gold, because of the high in and out costs of collectibles, etc. Stock mutual funds are a lot more liquid. Later.
