Haim, did you notice that they used a oil price of $14.50 in the June trade numbers? What did you calculate for the June average crude price? My recollection was that it was somewhat higher. Also, the July crude price went up several more dollars on top of that. The other large component in the trade deficit number was imported luxury cars, even high school kids are driving a mercedes (or a lexus) now.

That being the case, the July trade number is going to be huge. The effect on the dollar will be predictable.
