I have two of his records. On the back of one it says he met Elvis on the Houston Jamboree in 1953. It doesn't explain what that was, but I'd guess a radio show. Anyway, he was part of the gang from Sun Records, but he didn't make it big like Jerry Lee Lewis or Carl Perkins did. He sounds kind of like Carl Perkins, but more raw. He still knocks around Texas doing shows. One of the records I have has Jambalaya on it!
