I noted that this dissenter was on the dovish side and wanted to test the limits of how fast the economy can safely grow. I wonder if the comments that went along with this last rate hike we're a bit of a minor compromise to keep this guy on board. The data today didn't sound like anything that would have the Fed jumping for joy yet. The slight decrease in inflation measures in the GDP was a slight positive but the drop in the headline number appeared to be from the trade deficit due to the strong consumer and inventory draw downs which could quickly reverse. The next few weeks should be crucial as to whether the bull can continue to avoid getting gored even though the number of matadors are increasing
