550 * 5500 * .65 * 52 = 102 million from FAB 30 alone!>

Dan,

K8 or a stopgap K7 with 1024KB L2 would probably have around 40M transistors and a die size close to 100mm2 with 0.13Cu, 7 metal interconnect. With these assumption we are looking at

250*5500*.65*52=46.475M units from FAB30.

0.13u will require Cu, so FAB25 will probably stay with 0.18Al building flash.
