*AV*--Ithink it was a smart move on the part of both companies. Everything will reside where it really belongs and SFAM can focus on the actual CMP tools. SFAM cannot afford to dilute their efforts in this arena since AMAT is breathing down their neck. the expertise at ADEX or even KLAC are better suited to take the IPEC metrology stuff and see it to fruition in a more focus manner.

Again, it makes a good deal of sense to me since ADEX could be more successful, given this is their field of expertise.
