This is the type of thing that undermines the credibility of the right wing press. Most people regard these stories of Clinton's murders as poppycock, and then tend not to believe other stories from the same source. My wager is that any politician rising to the level of President will have some connection to thousands upon thousands of people, and that over the course of 6 1/2 years dozens of these people will die in various ways (even in my own circle of acquaintances, there have been several accidental deaths and two suicides over the past 6 or 7 years--and I hardly get to know as many people as state or national officials).

Now I'm sure the hard right press will further undermine its credibility by trumpeting that Bill Clinton personally ordered the use of incendiary devices at Waco. It does seem that the FBI lost control at Waco, but it's very similar to what happened vis-a-vis a similar cult group in Philadelphia a few years ago--if you'll recall the Mayor of Philadelphia at that time had a section of his city actually firebombed, killing the cultists. To my knowledge, Clinton was not directing the actions in Philadelphia. Not every stupid thing that happens represents an evil plot. And to allege that it does puts the hard right press in the position of the boy who cried wolf.
