RS -

Just been over to the G* site. There is a page that shows a view of the sats in their planes and the earth.

It looks to me like the whole Earth is covered except the North and South Poles but that can't be right.

The Gatways are what I originally thought the word implied ie an earth station with attendant switch and encoders. It is not a geographical area.

So I am now wondering the same question....what does 1,500 miles have to do with anything? A ground user may be communicating with one or up to three satelites at the same time. Fantastic technology. Still I can't see onthe G* site any indication of actual coverage other that I've described.

Also it say the sats are inclinedat 52%. 52% to what and what is the significance?

Thanks I think John S is also interested in this subject.

Best regards,

L
