chalu-

I suppose there were some similarities between Waco and the MOVE people in Philadelphia, but there were some enormous differences. MOVE was a royal pain to people in its neighborhood for years. Among other things, they blared out their so-called music at all hours of the day and night, in clear violation of city ordinances. The Branch Davidians had been wacky in Waco for 50 years, but had never really bothered anyone. They minded their own business and focused on their own zany theology. As I recall, the only thing illegal actions established against them was they had converted some semi-automatic weapons to fully automatic status. The government moved against them in an incredibly stupid, militaristic fashion allegedly because of reports of mis-treatment of children. Now the blood of those children drips from Reno's hands and those of that clown who headed the operation and who was recommended for promotion to number 2 at the FBI before Congress squawked. And it's all OK by Clinton's legions of supporters- no need even for Reno to so much as step down.

I think you should be a little careful about painting two very different organizations- MOVE and the Branch Davidians- with the same broad brush.
