FWIW, the unweighted Nasdaq 100 also failed to confirm the NDX on Wednesday. I have 4711 for the close on Wednesday versus the all-time high of 4972, which constituted a 5% shortfall. The normal, or weighted, Nasdaq 100 was within 3 points of its all-time high at that time. Hence, the index was rising at roughtly 1.5 times faster than its average component stock.
