Diamond H, I taught for 40 years, at the elementary, high school, jr college, college, university levels and was president of two liberal arts colleges. I repeated the jargon because it is somewhat clever and does express much of the frustration that the real world feels with academe, some of it fully justified. But I have tremendous respect for the teacher and teaching. I only wish that all teachers were truly professionals and that professional teachers were truly teachers. A true teacher is one who joyfully passes the wisdom and knowledge of the ages to those who are to follow. But enough. I have been a QCOMER since 1997 and I still own every share that I bought. I will probably be able to repeat this statement in 10 years if I am fortunate enough to be alive.
