Don, mostly I was curious about spreads charged by dealers. Some have standing quotes, for example: 1 ounce American Eagles bid = spot price - $4, ask price = spot price + $25.

$29 seems like a large spread. Gold would have to rise more than 10% just to cover that spread. Is that common or am I just looking at the wrong dealers?
